Dyfed-Powys Police and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are said to be "working closely" in the response to a property fire which broke out in Llangammarch Wells, in the early hours of this morning (Monday, October 30).

Local residents reported seeing a police helicopter as well as fire engines and members of the Brecon Mountain Rescue team "swarming around the place". However no one was prepared to speculate about the nature of the incident that had taken place.

A spokesperson for the fire and rescue service said: "MAWWFRS are leading on this incident, but police officers are assisting them at the scene.

"It is too early to confirm any further details at this time, and the fire service will be issuing further information when appropriate."
