THE only dedicated new bookshop in Hay-on-Wye is to close at the end of the month.

Pembertons Bookshop in High Town has made a name for itself selling newly released titles in the town widely regarded as the capital of the second hand book trade.

But owner Diana Blunt will close the shop, which is also the official on site bookseller at the world famous Hay Literature Festival, at the end of January - blaming the changing book market.
