Looking for some weekend entertainment? There’s plenty going on in Brecon this weekend!

YFC Drama Festival at Theatr B

Tonight and tomorrow, the Brecknock Young Farmers Club Drama Festival 2026 continues at Theatr Brycheiniog. Laughter, creativity, and community spirit will take place as a highlight in the county calendar.

A spokesperson for the event said: “YFC clubs from across Brecknock will take to the stage to showcase their talents in Entertainments, Junior Dramas, and Senior & Junior One Plus Competitions. Audiences can look forward to brilliant performances, plenty of laughs, and heartfelt moments as members compete for awards such as Best Performer Under 16 and Best Written Play.”

Tickets are still available for Friday, 13 February at 7pm.

Battle of The Bands

Elsewhere on Friday, 13 February, Battle of The Bands kicks off with round one at The Foundry in Brecon.

Primitive Soul, Sunny Inside, Misha and The Kings, McCarthyism, and The Alibis will battle it out on stage starting at 8pm, with doors at 7.30pm.

This heat brings together a mix of punk, alternative rock, indie, and heavier sounds, with each band performing a short original set as they compete for a place in the semi-final.

It is free to enter.

Cravens Crawlies

Also at The Foundry this weekend on Saturday 14th February at midday, children will come face-to-face with an amazing range of crawlies and critters— from fascinating insects to incredible reptiles. This interactive show is packed with fun facts, laughs, and plenty of chances to see (and maybe even touch!) some truly awesome creatures.

Cravens Crawlies is £6 entry for children in advance and £7 for adults.

Karaoke & Cocktails

And of course on Saturday it is Valentine’s Day which means it is karaoke and cocktail night at The Foundry.

A spokesperson for The Foundry said: “Whether you're celebrating date night, mate night, or simply treating yourself, everyone is welcome — this isn’t just for couples. Come for the music, stay for the atmosphere, and sing your heart out however you choose.”
