Llandefalle Church is set to host a ‘Churches Count on Nature’ service next month.

Archdeacon of Brecon The Ven Alan Jevons will be holding the service on Sunday, June 4, which will be dedicated to the natural world.

The service itself will celebrate nature, especially that which can be found in the churchyard, and the hymns and readings will be chosen to reflect God’s gift to the world.

During the service, there will be a plant hunt in the churchyard, with a prize on offer for the longest list of wildlife found there.

Two years ago, more than 70 species of plant were found in the churchyard. Can they do better this time? Many eyes will improve their chances!

It is hoped that as many children will attend this event as possible.

The event, taking place at 10.30am will form part the church’s monthly Eucharist service.

Coffee, squash and cake will be served at the end of the service.
