A road around a shop which was struck by a car has been closed amid fears the building could collapse.
The road around the Premier store, which is in the centre of Llanwrtyd Wells, is set to be closed for five days and it is thought to be in connection with the crash earlier today.
The shop is currently cordoned off by police, with railings and police tape blocking off the section of the town and the A483.
Powys County Council has confirmed the road would be closed for five days.
A 22-year-old man was arrested after the car crashed into the building in what police called a "serious collision".
A Renault Clio, the only involved vehicle, collided with a support pillar of Premier Stores in Llanwrtyd Wells, based on on the A483, just before 12.30am causing structural damage to the building.
Police said the man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking without consent and careless driving.

Update: As of Tuesday, January 28, one lane of the A483 reopened with a temporary traffic light system in place to control the traffic.
