THE Four Wells Ramblers, who organise walks in the beautiful countryside of Mid Wales on behalf of Ramblers Cymru, are introducing a programme of short walks of four to eight miles. This is in addition to their traditional longer Saturday walks.
The first of these on Monday, March 26 is a figure of eight walk from the Elan Valley Village, offering a 4 mile or 8 mile option. The short walk includes good views of Caban Coch and Garreg Ddu Reservoirs from the South side of the Elan Valley, before the longer walk takes in the hills to the North. The walk starts at 10am in the Elan Village –why don’t you come and join us?
“I have benefited greatly over the last few years from the physical activity and social interaction provided by the group; a friendly bunch who enjoy walking and being in the countryside and are so welcoming to newcomers and visitors”, says Chris Jones, current chair of the Four Wells group.
Please come in sturdy shoes or boots and bring something to eat and drink together with a waterproof coat – the weather can change quickly!

Ramblers Cymru is the representative body for walkers in Wales. As a governing body of sport, we work to promote walking, secure and facilitate access, and to develop path networks. We are part of the Ramblers, Britain’s walking charity.
The Ramblers helps everyone, everywhere, enjoy walking and protects the places we all love to walk. It is the only charity dedicated to looking after paths and green spaces, leading walks, opening up new places to explore and encouraging everyone to get outside and discover how walking boosts your health and your happiness.
By becoming one of our members, joining our team of dedicated volunteers or simply supporting our work, together we can get everyone, everywhere walking. To find out how to get involved, visit www.ramblers.org.uk/wales.
