Do you ever fancy walking in the hills, but are not sure where to go?
Maybe you are wanting to return following recovery from injury or illness.
Would you like join walks which are led by experienced leaders who are trained in navigation and first aid, and experience the physical, mental and social benefits of walking with a group?
The Brecon Beacons Park Society, otherwise known as Friends of the Brecon Beacons, has a programme of walks throughout the year, catering for hill and mountain walkers with a wide range of abilities and experience.
It is now providing taster hill-walks so everyone can sample the benefits on offer from getting involved.
The next taster is on the morning of Wednesday, February 15 in an area above Llangynidr. The circular route is only 4km/2.5 miles long on undulating paths, and is high enough to enjoy fantastic views all round - weather permitting!
It is essential to book a place on this walk, so for more details and to reserve your place, go to the Brecon Beacons Park Society website and follow the links to Guided Walks.
Please ensure you read and follow all the advice to make sure you are adequately equipped. Conditions can change quickly in the hills and are colder higher up.
