Friends of Cwmdu Music are pleased to present their next concert on Saturday, May 11 at 7.30pm St Michael & All Angels Church, Cwmdu.
The evening’s entertainment includes the Blackweir Brass Quintet with actor Musa Trevathan (RWCMD students), in a music and words ensemble. Featured in the quintet are Alexander Morgan (trumpet), William Mead (trumpet), Lynn Henderson (horn), Nick Macdonald (trombone), Benjamin Pepler (tuba). Musa is currently studying a BA in Acting at the Royal Welsh Academy of Music and Drama.
The evening also includes Noson Lawen (Haldon Evans) – Myfanwy (John Betjeman).

Dance Macabre (Greig) – The Jabberwocky (Lewis Carroll).
On Leaving Wantage (Dan Hall) – On Leaving Wantage; Uffington and Wantage Bells (John Betjeman).
Artist-in-residence is Sue Thorne, glass artist, who says: “I am a local artist with a passion for the mountains and the natural world. The landscape fills me with awe, the ever-changing weather affecting the mountain vista provides me with endless inspiration which I strive to capture in glass.”
