BRECON woman Priscilla Cairns is hoping to raise a sizeable sum for the Help For Heroes charity over Halloween with her ghoulish garden display.

Cilla who lives on the town’s Dol-Glas estate decorated her garden for the first time last year and raised £500 for the charity which helps Armed Forces veterans.

This year, having been in touch with the charity beforehand, she has added Help For Heroes banners to the display, and is hoping to have raised even more money.

Her front and back gardens are festooned with pumpkins, skeletons, mock gravestones, bats, a figure of a grim reaper and other ghoulish fare. Cilla says anyone is welcome to come round and have a look.

With her in the picture are her grandchild Fraya Walmsley (in Cilla’s arms), neighbour’s children Ava Rose Ottewell and Ruby Jones and Fraya’s dad JP Walmsley.
