IT'S feared thieves may have scaled a £7,000 security fence to steal lead flashing from the roof of Ystradgynlais' Welfare Hall.

A small amount of the expensive building material was stolen from the roof of the arts and community centre last week and police are also investigating the theft of £1,000 worth of lead flashing from the town's Ysgol Maesydderwen secondary school.
