Around a hundred brave swimmers took the plunge on Boxing Day in the River Wye at Glasbury as part of the annual village tradition.

At midday on Friday, 26 December a firework was set off, and the brave individuals raced down the river bank and into the water.

A crowd looked on, most with large coats and towels in hand, ready for their friends and family members to emerge from the water.

The tradition is believed to have been going in the village for over 10 years.

This year was certainly a chilly one with air temperature being around three degrees celsius, let alone the water temperature.
