A BWLCH-based runner has raised a marathon amount of cash for cancer research. Adele Davies ran the London Marathon recently in 4 hours 29 minutes - 20 minutes faster than her previous best. So far she has raised nearly £500 for Macmillan cancer Relief, and the cash is still coming in.
Thirty-eight-year old mum of three Adele trains with Brecon Multi-Sport Triathlon Club. Speaking to The Brecon and Radnor Express, Adele said: "It was a fantastic day and one that I will never forget - it was very hot and the atmosphere was tremendous. "I crossed the line with the Cheeky Girls, I looked shattered and they looked fresh and fabulous. "I'd like to say a huge thank you to all my sponsors, particularly Roy Hatton Car Sales, Biped Cycles, Rourke Davies Builders, The Soft Brick Co and Party Packs for their generous support."
