A RESCUE dog and her owner from Brecon are in the running for an award from a dog magazine.
Helen Jones, a librarian from Brecon, took in border collie Mae from a farm when she was matted and underweight but the pair have gone on to enjoy success in agility competitions after starting from scratch.
They are nominated for the Dogs Monthly HiLife ’Best Friends’ trophy, with Helen having promised to donate the prize of £300 worth of food the Valgrays Border Collie Rescue.
