A CASTLE for sale with a £2 million price tag comes with an unusual exclusion - an area of land earmarked for a statue of its current owner.
Sale details of the landmark Norman and Jacobean building have revealed that a small area of land is omitted from the sale for a proposed statue of King Richard Booth.
It is planned that the triangular grass area at the castle's entrance will eventually be home to a lasting tribute to Hay's lovable and eccentric self-appointed monarch.
