THERE was plenty to see and do at the Knucklas 17 festival.

The festival site was held in the orchard beneath the mound at Knucklas Castle with guided walks up to the top of the mound and around the surrounding area.

To keep visitors of all ages entertained there were talks and storytelling, art, crafts, cave painting, den building, weaving, making fires and roasting marshmallows and lots more to get involved in.

Throughout the day local musicians played and there was a wide range of refreshments on offer, while Prue Wakeman and her granddaughter Jessica offered rides from the car park to the festival site in their carriage pulled by their pony, Owen.

In the evening, the festival was rounded off with a concert, with performers including Raspquillion, Ian Marchant, Speedgums, The Simon King Jazz quartet and some unexpected guests.
