THE new leader of Powys County Council is set to reject a bumper £11,000 pay rise being forced on him.
David Jones, who had previously led the council's official opposition, also signalled he is likely to take a lower pay settlement than that collected by his predecessor following a controversial 40 per cent pay rise awarded to last year's cabinet.
