PEOPLE got the chance to find out about a variety of sports that disabled people can play at a special event at Brecon Leisure Centre.
The event was organised by the South Powys Disability Network Forum that is an umbrella group for 35 separate organisations that look to ensure people with disabilities can be included in various activities.
At the leisure centre on Saturday, October 20 around 70 people of all abilities took part in events including wheelchair basketball, table tennis, bowls and disability sports such as boccia and goalball.
The event was supported by Bam, the contractors building the new Brecon High School, adjacent to the leisure centre, Morrisons, Freedom Leisure who operate the centre, RWS Consulting, Powys council and local councillors Ann Mathias and David Meredith.
A raffle was also held at the event, which along with donations, raised more than £250 for the Special Olympics Brecon fund.
