MAISIE Creamer dressed up as a princess to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust which makes wigs out of real hair for children undergoing cancer treatment.
The four-year-old from Brecon was joined in the effort by her mum Amanda’s friend Angharad Pickering.
The haircut took place at Eclipz Hair Studio. Maisie had nine inches cut off and Angharad had 13 inches removed.Their deed has so far raised £380 with donations still coming in.
Angharad said: “Every girl deserves to feel like a princess. We both have very long hair and neither of us is going to miss it, so doing this to help others seemed an obvious thing to do.
“The Princess Trust gives away every wig it makes free, that’s why it was really important for us to try and fundraise.
“We wanted to raise £100 as gesture towards the cost of making a wig. But the current amount – £380 – is enough to pay for a whole wig. I can’t thank people enough for their support and donations. We were overwhelmed.”To sponsor Maisie and Angharad visit: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/angharad-pickering1
