A MAN accused of murder will walk free after being found not guilty by a unanimous verdict.
Mark Leigh Thomas, 25, denied the murder and manslaughter of one of his best friends Craig Thomas Savage, 30, on July 5 last year after a night out drinking in Llandrindod Wells.
As the jury of seven women and five men at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court delivered their not guilty verdicts after deliberating for just over two hours Mr Thomas was passed tissues in the dock to wipe away his tears.
And there was further drama in the packed courtroom, which had a heavy police presence, when a member of his family collapsed following the verdict.
