A driver killed in a three-vehicle crash in the Brecon Beacons has been named as Andrew James Griffiths.
The 35-year-old, who was from the Merthyr Tydfil area, had been driving a Skoda Octavia car that was in a collision on the A470 involving a heavy goods vehicle and another car, a Volvo V60.
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "The man who sadly died was 35-year-old Andrew James Griffiths from the Merthyr area. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time."
The crash at around 5.30pm on Monday, October 2 closed the main road from Brecon to Merthyr Tydfil for around 16 hours.
It occurred next to the Beacons reservoir, just past the junction of the A4059 Hirwaun road, which was also closed throughout Monday night.
Dyfed-Powys Police are still appealing for any witnesses, or anyone travelling along the road at the time, to contact 101.
