COLLEAGUES of a Powys play worker who died suddenly before Christmas hope to establish a fund in his memory.
Radnorshire resident and father of two, Nick Waller, a play co-ordinator for the children's, young people and families service provider Dyfodol Powys Futures, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 14 at the age of 58.
Staff of the charity now hope to establish a fund in memory of Nick, who lived on the the Doldowolod estate, between Llandrindod Wells and Rhayader, to maintain his work in promoting outdoor play for youngsters.
Chief executive officer of the Llandrindod based organisation, Kathy Rist said: "Nick was known to many people as the high priest of play in Powys and it is fair to call him evangelical on the subject of a child's' right to play and explore their environment whatever their ability or interest."
For further information on supporting Nick Waller's commemorative fund, contact Dyfodol Powys Futures on 01597 825236 or email [email protected]">[email protected].
