A MOTORCYCLIST who suffered serious injuries in a weekend crash on the A40 near Brecon has died.

The 53-year-old, who has not been named, was injured following a collision involving his Triumph motorcycle and a Citroen DS car at the Aberbran junction around 3pm on Saturday, May 4.

He had been taken to hospital in Cardiff, with what Dyfed Powys Police said were serious injuries. On Wednesday. May 8 the force announced the injured man had died.

Officers also renewed their appeal for anyone with relevant information to contact them.

The coroner for Powys has been informed and a post mortem has yet to be carried out.

The road was closed until 10pm on Saturday as police conducted an examination of the scene.
