PLANS to develop 68 new homes and community and employment facilities at a former Brecon Beacons Army camp have been unveiled.
A planning application has been submitted to the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority - a year on since original plans for 200 homes at the former Cwrt y Gollen plans were rejected at a planning appeal.
However the plans have already run into opposition from the Vale of Grwyney Community Council which has resolved to object to the plans which would see 50 new houses built and two existing barrack blocks converted to 18 apartments, providing affordable homes.
Developers Crickhowell Estates said the plans incorporate feedback received after its original proposals for 200 homes on the base, near Crickhowell, were rejected by the park authority and the independent planning inspector.
