ALTHOUGH the Hundred House Show has been in existence for some 60 years this year saw it move to a new venue, the lovely pastures at Lower Llaneon, through the kind generosity of Stephen Williams.

The show president for 2017 was Glyn Powell. The popular show which has been very family-oriented for many years continued at the new home having moved from Fforest Fields where in years gone by it had been hosted by George and Katie Barstow.

There were large entries across all of the sections with over 50 sheep classes, a large turnout in the horse section and the dog show. The horticultural section also found a new home in a barn instead of a tent. Those who attended the event had plenty to see with all the side stalls as well as the agricultural sections, including a pet show.

Among other attractions, there were also races for the children and a vintage vehicle display.

Show chairperson Val James said the bright sunshine and new home had proved very popular and she hoped the show would be ensconced in its new home for many years to come.
