Four poets who are part of a local writing circle will be launching their works at a Hay-on-Wye bookshop this week.

Ange Grunsell, Michelle Peace, Catherine Smedley and Lily Rose King will launch their works on Friday, May 10 at North Books, between 10am and 12 midday.

‘Sprigs of Hope‘ by Ange Grunsell covers places and people close to her heart: in London and Hay-on-Wye, Holloway, Sudan and Palestine.

‘First Collection’ by Michelle Peace is a poetic diary which distils 30 years of writing into thirty poems; birth, childhood, love, marriage and death are all embraced.

Catherine Smedley’s collection, ‘Here, There & Everywhere‘, has taken shape over a few decades, representing a journey through a turbulent, disconnected world and seeking to connect with what is true and timeless.

Lily Rose King’s ‘Sweetheart’ is a collection which depicts a carefree twenty-something’s life-changing journey into motherhood.

The four poets are all part of the Hay Writers’ Circle which meets monthly to share and give feedback to one another’s’ writing.

North Books can be found at 4 Castle Street, Hay-on-Wye, HR3 5DF.
