The final Saturday of October saw the Three Cocks Matters Community Group hold their first ever Autumn Fair and Halloween Duck Race.

Despite the windy conditions it was a great success, and the group managed to sell all 500 ducks to take part in the duck race.

First prize in the duck race was won by Big Bri from The Old Barn Inn.

Second place went to Karl Lewis from Three Cocks and third place went to Kellie Marie from Three Cocks.

Over 200 people turned out for the event, where lots of raffle tickets were sold, with great prizes donated by local businesses and residents.

£1,503.22 was raised for the community group through the stalls, duck race, raffle, and donations.

Chair of the Three Cocks Matters Community Group, Nick Pritchard said: “We realise this was our first duck race and we will take a lot of learning from this. However, the money raised is essential to start progressing the regeneration of Three Cocks.

“We had over 15 stalls turn out which was great to see, and people seemed to really enjoy themselves.”
