PLANNING applications are to be fast-tracked in a bid to boost the number of films shot in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The park authority says there is booming interest in using the park for major film projects which often require planning permission and is willing to allow film companies to leap frog other planning applications.

Last week it was revealed a film company, rumoured to be filming the new James Bond move, Skyfall, had pulled the plug on plans to shoot at Mynydd y Llan, in the far west of the park, near Llandovery.
