PCSOs in Brecon and Ystradgynlais are now able to patrol their local areas on their bikes.
The bicycles have been supplied by local business Cycle-Tec based in Builth Wells. Cycle-Tec said it wanted to help the police and community with their objectives to reduce crime and the fear of crime and anti-social behaviour.
The bikes have been put together with a lot of thought to their actual use and are designed around the needs of the officers.
Inspector Matt Scrase said police were ’very grateful to the shop and hopes other areas will see the benefit of this style of policing’.
