A pedestrian who was killed in an accident involving a car at the weekend in Ystradgynlais has been named as Meirion Huw Lloyd.
The 74-year-old man from Ystradgynlais died following the collision, which involved a red Renault Clio, at 9pm on Neath Road.
Although emergency services were called to the scene, Mr Lloyd died at the roadside. Dyfed-Powys Police has said it is appealing for witnesses.
A police spokeswoman said: “Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision, which occurred on Saturday, March 30, at 9pm on Neath Road, Ystradgynlais.
“The incident involved a red Renault Clio and a pedestrian. Sadly, the male pedestrian passed away at the scene.
“If anyone has any information on this incident or if they may have seen a man walking along Neath Road around that time, please contact the roads policing unit on 101.
