PLANNING permission for a temporary Gypsy site in the Brecon Beacons has been extended by the national park planning committee.
But Trevor Smith, who heads the Gypsy family occupying the site says his family do not intend to spend another winter at Cefn Cantref high in the Brecon Beacons.
Powys County Council has been granted the extended permission but says it expects its permanent site, at the Brecon Enterprise Park, to be ready by next spring.
Mr Smith said his family cannot face another winter in the Beacons: "We can't stay another winter here, in fact, we're not going to be here. The council's got to find us another site."
