Police closed a road in the Brecon Beacons this morning after a motorcylist was killed in an accident.
The fatal crash occurred on the A4067 Brecon Road between Pen y Cae and Crai Reservoir just before 11am.
The motorcyclist who died was riding the only vehicle in the accident and police are appealing for witnesses.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said diversions were put in place while the road was closed and the man’s next of kin have been informed of his death.
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision which occurred just before 11am this morning (24th March 2019) on the A4067 Brecon Road, between Pen y Cae and the Cray Reservoir in Powys.
"Sadly the male rider of a motorcycle, the only vehicle involved, died at the scene. His next of kin have been advised.
"The road is currently closed with diversions in place.
"If anyone has any information on this incident please contact Powys Roads Policing Unit on 101.”
A tweet from Brecon Roads Policing said: "Currently dealing with a fatal collision involving a motorcyclist on A4067 near to Crai Reservoir.
"The road is currently closed whilst our Collision Investigation Unit examines the scene.
"We will update you when the road has reopened."The road has now reopened.
