Police are appealing for help to find a missing man who has links to the Brecon Beacons area.

Mark Smith from Portland in Dorset, England, was reported missing at around 1.30pm on Monday, January 2 after he didn’t arrive at work that day as expected.

Dorset police have said they are renewing their appeal to find him as they are concerned for his welfare.

Mark is described as being white, five feet and ten inches tall and of a slim build with short mousey brown hair and tattoos on his arm.

Inspector David Parr of Dorset Police said: “It’s out of character for Mark not to make contact with family or friends for a number of days and we are continuing to carry out a number of enquiries in a bid to locate him.

“I want to renew our appeal for anyone with information relating to his whereabouts to place come forward and we are issuing new images of Mark in the hope that someone might have seen him since the afternoon of Monday 3 January, 2022.

“Our enquiries indicate he may have travelled to the St Ives area of Cornwall and he also has links to Weston-super-Mare in Somerset and the Brecon Beacons area of Wales.

“I would again like to make a direct plea to Mark if you see this, please make contact with us or your family as we all just want to ensure you are safe and well.”
