DYFED-Powys Police is looking for someone to monitor and assess the delivery of National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) courses within the Dyfed-Powys area.
The educational courses are delivered to a national standard under the guidance of NDORS and aim to examine the reasons for driver offending and outline to drivers the consequences associated with their driving. Coping strategies are provided to help the individual avoid becoming a road casualty statistic.
The successful applicant will be expected to assess course trainers, provide feedback and assist with trainer development. The individual will work alongside Dyfed-Powys Police staff to assess courses on a non-contractual basis.
The monitor must possess a TAQA (Training, Assessment and Quality Assurance) Award in Assessing (or equivalent such as A1 Assessor) with a minimum of three years’ experience in the last five years of monitoring and assessing performance. They must also be an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) (or other relevant qualification) for the monitoring of practical driving courses.
