PARTS of a housing estate have been sealed off following the discovery of a suspicious package.
Dyfed-Powys Police say they are currently waiting for a bomb disposal team to arrive at the Gurnos in Lower Cwmtwrch, near Ystradgynlais.
The force said the item, described as a small box, was discovered at Spencer Terrace, Lower Cwmtwrch.
Road closures are in place and at around 1.30pm police asked members of the public to stay away.
A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Dyfed-Powys Police is currently dealing with a report of a suspicious item at Spencer Terrace, Lower Cwmtwrch. The item is described as a small box. Road closures are in place at Spencer Terrace and Heol Abraham, and a cordon is in place as a precaution. An Ordinance Disposal team is on their way and members of the public are asked to avoid the area so the incident can be dealt with safely. No further information is available."
