HAY Festival is probably the most hotly anticipated literary festival of the season with a galaxy of stellar names from the world of literature, art, comedy, politics and music descending on the town of Hay-on-Wye for the 11 day event from Thursday, May 27 to Sunday, June 5.

Talking about this year's fine line-up which has no doubt sent a nation of literary lovers and more into a frenzy by now, festival boss Peter Florence told The Brecon & Radnor Express: "Personally, it will be a huge thrill for me to meet Vanessa Redgrave, and the Afro Celt Sound System who are playing on Friday, May 27, are my all-time favourite live band. Being a little bit Irish and a little bit African and a large bit Welsh they seem to be my guys."
