A small band of protesters unveiled an American flag daubed with a Nazi swastika and the words "Trump Out" in Brecon today in opposition to the US President's visit to the UK.
The group, which was made up of about a dozen adults and a few children, were carrying a mix of placards saying "build bridges not walls", "love trumps hate" and "F$?k off you trumped up moron".
Holding the flag was a man dressed as the Harry Potter villain Voldemort with a Guy Fawkes mask - as seen in the film V for Vendetta and worn by members of the activist group Anonymous.
The man, who declined to give his name, also wore a sign attached to his chest declaring himself as Voldemort which read: "and you thought I was evil" and another sign with "I’ve been trumped" on his back.
Some of the protesters were mothers who had hung signs on their baby’s pushchairs such as "love not hate" and "p**s off Trump".
The crowd walked around the centre of town and gathered on the Bulwark chanting anti-Trump slogans.
Protester Charlie Searl said: "We’ve just walked around the town, and it’s been interesting because there are a lot of people who don’t know much about Trump.
"We just want to make people think, even if it’s just a little bit more about the politics that affect them."
Ms Searl said that they had received "abuse" off some Brecon residents who described their actions as "disgusting" and others who had called them a variety of offensive names.
When asked what message they would send Donald Trump, protester Ruth Gibbs said: "A message of love.
"Love and light from Brecon. Just be nice to other people, be human."
The peaceful protesters agreed to put the US flag daubed with a Swastika away during the protest after they were approached by police.
Dyfed-Powys Police had received complaints from a "tearful" American tourist who was offended by the flag.
The flag was hidden by the protesters from the public for the remainder of the protest.
Brecon’s small protest happened at the same time as the giant London protest against Mr Trump’s visit. The President has met UK Prime Minister Theresa May and the Queen.
The London protest has been featured across the news today and included a giant baby Trump balloon.
