PARENTS and children have staged a protest over what they claim are broken promises from Powys County Council over the closure of a primary school.

Ysgol Cynlais, in Heol Giedd, Ystradgynlais will close at the end of the summer term along with all other primary schools in the district.

Parents, who claim they'd been told their children could remain together as they move to a new school, staged a protest outside Ysgol Cynlais on Monday, February 13.
