A PUB in Builth Wells has been deep cleaned and sanitised after a customer with coronavirus visited the establishment recently.
Staff at the White Horse confirmed the person who tested positive for the virus had been to the pub, and other establishments in the area, on September 5.
A pub spokesman said in a statement: "We have spoken to the relevant authorities and the track and trace team.
"They have advised to continue as normal, but we are closing today (September 9) to sanitise and deep clean all surfaces so that it is a safe environment for our customers to return to our establishment."
The spokesman added: "For people who are questioning the White Horse on the measures we have implemented from the reopening of lockdown, we have had several visits from the authorities who have told us that they are satisfied with everything that had been put in place and that we have gone ’above and beyond to ensure the safety of our customers and our staff.
"If you have any symptoms please book yourself in for a test at the local testing centre at the Royal Welsh Showground."
News of the pub’s one-day closure came as the number of coronavirus cases in Powys increased by seven.
Figures released by Public Health Wales showed the total number of cases in Powys now stands at 414 - although the true figure is expected to be higher.
