FOUR religions were represented at a multi-faith day held at Clyro Church in Wales Primary School.
The children learned about the Jewish way of life through dance, drama, songs, tasting food and looking at Jewish artefacts with Jane Silver-Corren.
Then they designed prayer spaces and looked at labyrinths in the Christianity workshop, led by John Meredith, the Diocesan director of education, assisted by Revd David Thomas, the local vicar of Clyro Church. In the afternoon, they experienced life as a Sikh and what it is like going into a Sikh gurdwara with Butta Singh, and afterwards entered a Hindu shrine in a temple and learnt clap and dandia dancing with Bharti Tailor.
Head teacher Sarah Groves said the multi-faith day, on Tuesday, April 9, gave the pupils an “amazing opportunity” to learn about world religions and faiths.”
