A BUDDING young researcher has become the first person to fully document the history of his favourite local newspaper.

Former Llangors Church in Wales Primary School pupil Ieuan Phillips undertook a project on the history of the The Brecon & Radnor Express as part of a competition hosted by The Brecknock Society and Museum Friends and Brecknock Museum & Art Gallery.

The Victor Jones Junior School History Competition encourages Year 6 pupils in local schools to find out about the history of Brecknockshire by compiling a 2,500 word project on a subject of their choice.
