Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were called out to Pontneddfechan on New Year's Day as a person fell into a river above the Angel Inn.
As the team were establishing their location, they received further information from the Police that they had spoken to the group and advised they had got back to the car park and were taking the casualty to hospital.
