On Tuesday, 30 May at 4pm, Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were called out to assist the Medic First Responder at Bike Park Wales, where a rider had come off his bike from a fall after a jump.

The team were called upon to help extricate the casualty following the First Responder's great job in providing the rider with pain relief and stabilisation.

The casualty had a fractured wrist and a suspected pelvic fracture.

Ten members from the mountain rescue team provided pelvic immobilisation and a stretcher to carry the casualty to the awaiting Welsh Ambulance Services NHS trust ambulance.

Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team got back to their base at around 7pm.

A spokesperson for the team said: "The gentleman was conveyed to hospital with our wishes for a speedy and full recovery."
