The Brecon Rotary 2022 Charity Calendar is now available and on sale in local shops.

The photographs in the calendar were taken by local photographers who entered their pictures into the 2021 Rotary Photographic competition.

The photos show the rich diversity of landscape and wildlife surrounding us and also the depth of local talent.

Monies raised will be used for the benefit of community and charity groups in Brecon and the surrounding villages through the Rotary Community Chest scheme which was set up to support local community groups and charities.

Some of the recent recipients of funding include; One Brecon, Llangasty Village hall, Brecon Festival Ballet and the Fathom Trust.

Roger Reese, current President of Rotary, said: “Until Covid arrived, Brecon Rotary had relied on the popular annual Caledonian Market to raise substantial funds for community needs. Even with the current relaxation of rules, we feel that it would be unwise to hold the market for the foreseeable future so we are looking at alternative ways to fundraise hence the production and sale of the calendar.

“Thanks to the support of a number of local businesses, individuals and organisations the bulk of the printing costs has been covered thereby ensuring that most of the sales cost goes into the fund.”
