To mark the return of the Six Nations Championship, the TARDIS will be flying into Brecon town centre this weekend for the annual raffle ticket campaign.
Fundraising royalty Brian and Lorna Keylock will be selling raffle tickets from their iconic booth this morning [Saturday] - they also sold tickets yesterday [Friday] morning.
Up for grabs this year is a signed championship jersey and 2021 signed team photo. With full certification and one of only 100 made, it is sure to be a popular prize. More jerseys will also be available for other Six Nations matches throughout the Championship.
All money raised from the sale of the raffle tickets will go to Cancer Research Wales.
For over 20 years, Brian and Lorna have raffled signed rugby t-shirts at every Six Nations game, raising thousands of pounds for the Brecon and Sennybridge branch of the charity
The Brecon couple have shown incredible commitment to charitable fundraising since 1979, and have raised an estimated half a million pounds for Cancer Research Wales during their lifetime.
In October 2016 their fundraising initiatives for Cancer Research Wales were rewarded by the Prime Minister, Theresa May, when she presented them with the Points of Light Award, which recognises outstanding volunteers who truly contribute and make a change to their communities.
Last year, they were awarded with a British Empire Medal (BEM) each for their charitable efforts.
Speaking about this year’s raffle, Brian said: “As rugby fever returns this year, it’s a fantastic prize again so please come on down and buy your tickets.
“Once again, we thank you for all for your support in helping up to keep helping others - we couldn’t do it without you. God bless and keep safe.”
Brian and Lorna will be at the TARDIS selling raffle tickets in Brecon Town Centre today - Saturday - from around 10am.
