CRICKHOWELL and the surrounding areas can now benefit from the fantastic new outdoor facilities at Crickhowell High School.
The High School and governing body took over the management of Crickhowell Community Sports Centre in November 2014 – redeveloping the facilities and bringing them up to date.
Following the opening of the indoor facilities in February 2016 – including brand new fitness suite, dance studio, work room and changing areas, the site has taken another step forward with state-of-the-art outdoor pitches.
The artificial pitches were officially opened on Monday, May 8 by Kirsty Williams AM, with members of the local community groups, sports clubs and sport governing bodies attending the event which showcased the brand new sand-dressed all weather pitch and the 3G training pitch.
Members of the public can access the site from 4pm to 10pm, Monday-Friday, 12.30pm to 4.30pm on Saturdays and 10am to 1pm on Sundays.
