A SECOND community support charity in Powys has announced a funding shortfall is likely to force its closure.
Llandrindod Wells & District Volunteer Bureau and Community Support has announced it is likely to close on September 6 as it cannot meet a £20,000 shortfall in its funding.
Val Lymer, the manager of the bureau which also provides community transport, said last year it received more than 1,000 requests for community transport, including taking patients to hospital appointments in Hereford and as far as Cardiff and Birmingham.
A fortnight ago Hay & District Community Support announced it will close at the end of September.
