WALES' only ape and monkey sanctuary is not hanging around in its latest rescue bid to safeguard the future of a group of at risk primates.

The Wales Ape and Monkey Sanctuary, located just outside Abercrave in South Powys, is already home to over 70 apes and monkeys, but the rescue centre is hoping to get a special delivery in time for Christmas with the arrival of five rhesus macaques, which have been rescued from a research laboratory in France.
