SOUTH Powys veteran groups recently celebrated the award of five Silhouettes funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.
The Silhouettes adorned a special Armistice Centenary commemoration and dedication service which was held at the “Marking Time” Woodland Walk at Bronllys Hospital on Saturday, November 3. After the service Talgarth Male Voice Choir entertained with a medley of World War One songs. The veteran groups were supported at the event by Powys Teaching Health Board, Bronllys Wellbeing Park (CLT) Ltd, Bronllys Hospital League of Friends and Powys Armed and Ex Forces Forum.
The Silhouettes award was made under the Armistice and Armed Forces Communities programme which aims to bring communities together to remember the Armed Forces today.
