SPANDAU Ballet star Martin Kemp is to play a DJ set at a mid Wales venue next year, it has been announced.
The musician and actor, who shot to fame in the 1980s new wave band former with older brother Gary, will be spinning hits from the era at The Pavilion in Llandrindod Wells on Saturday, March 14.
After establishing themselves as one of Britain’s biggest pop acts of the 80s the brothers branched out into acting and starred as feared twins Ronnie and Reggie in 1990 film the Krays about the east London crime lords.
Martin also played nightclub boss Steve Owen in BBC soap Eastenders in the late 1990s.
He has played a number of sold out shows this year and last across the UK as part of his Back to the 80s tour and said, of the current tour: "It’s amazing. People absolutely lose themselves, singing to every word. It’s the most euphoric atmosphere I have ever been in, in my life."
The show is advertised for ages 14+ and a guest DJ is also to be announced.
