A PROPOSED wind turbine in the Radnorshire countryside has generated a storm of protest.
Local landowners want to erect an 84 metre single turbine at Clyro Hill.
But opponents say the structure, that would be nearly as tall as Big Ben, would blight the surrounding countryside.
It has also been claimed the turbine's location is unsuitable due to the presence of a nearby airfield and would overshadow surrounding villages, create noise pollution and turn away tourists.
